Description

KBFS 2020 is the long-awaited successor to the widely praised 2005 ‘professional’ edition. Over 30 papers from around the world help to capture and make newly available some of the best and most innovative work from the intervening period. A careful look through these pages provides significant evidence of outstanding work and suggests that Futures Studies and Applied Foresight are indeed in good shape.

Moreover, in editing this anthology care has also been taken to highlight the voices of new and emerging practitioners. As such it provides a fresh, stimulating and timely resource for a world that is more in need of intelligent, high-quality futures-related strategies than ever. The collection can be used as a stand-alone resource or, better, in combination with what is now the ‘legacy’ 2005 edition. Together they provide unique insights into ways that individuals, organisations and societies can respond the huge challenges of the 21st Century.
